Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I became addicted to True Blood earlier this summer after I had heard so many people talking about the show. I had no idea it was based on a series of books until later on. Having watched all of the Season 1 DVDs I needed my fix, so decided to start reading the series.
The book is pretty much exactly like the Season 1 of True Blood, with a few exceptions. I loved it. Sookie Stackhouse is a great character and I enjoyed her narration. Which is actually another difference between the book and the show. The story is told through Stackhouse and unfolds thusly, while the show is told from a more omniscient perspective and the audience is let in on things before Sookie is.
Anyway, it’s a fun, quick read and I look forward to the other books in the series.
