is one of the Columbia Gorge’s most beautiful waterfalls. It’s not my
, but it runs a close second. Or third (maybe behind
). It’s easy to get to for those moments when you have to get a waterfall pinhole shot RIGHT NOW. I have shots of this waterfall with all of my pinhole cameras, as you will see below. It’s fun to see how it looks at different times of the year. The first shot was taken in August on the hottest day of the year. The following two were taken more recently: this past January.
This waterfall is loud and powerful. It is the only one in the Gorge that drops directly from a cliff above (as opposed to tumbling and meandering its way down). The drop is somewhere between 214 – 249 feet. So yeah. Loud when it hits the pool down…
