The Boat

Photography

I mentioned that during my super productive weekend I developed some film from over the summer and even scanned it! Usually it takes me weeks and weeks to get to the scanning so I’m really stoked with myself for finding the initiative to do this so quickly.

Here is one that I particularly liked. Taken up at Trillium Lake with my Zero and Ektar 100 film.

  1. Oy, if I had to scan my own film, it would NEVER happen. I quit shooting my 6×18 pinhole because my lab can’t handle the format on their drum scanner. I so suck at scanning. Props!

    1. Oh boy, I hear ya! Scanning is my least favorite photography activity, aside from post processing. I quit digital photography mostly because I hate it (post processing) and film photography requires hardly any, if at all. 🙂

    2. I do my own scanning all the time but recently upgraded from my Epson 700 to the 850 and can’t say I am very happy with it. I was excited that they put ‘glass’ in the holders to keep the film flatter, but it turns out it is more like acrylic and every spot of dust clings to it. So now I have to get the dust off the negatives and the holder. Not happy. The 700 was better. But I feel I have more time than money so will continue scanning. Got to save my $ for England 2018!
