Foolish gibberish

  • AboutI am also known as CraftyMoni elsewhere on the web. I am a Children’s Librarian. I am a photographer. I am a knitter. I am a reader. I am a wannabe poet. I blog. Sometimes I complain. I like to swear. I have a really twisted sense of humor. I think I might be a Zen Buddhist (Still trying to decide). Not a fan of organized religion. I am very liberal and can be vocal about it at times. I’m a daydreamer. Sometimes sassy. I try to be compassionate. I think I’m pretty nice most of the time. You can delve into deeper waters by reading these posts. You can see my photography on my Flickr page. If you like any photos you see there or on this site and would like to buy a print let me know. I would be happy to sell one to you! I blather about library stuff on  Twitter. You will also find me on Google+ and Facebook. Enjoy your visit!

“Understanding someone’s suffering is the best gift you can give another person. Understanding is love’s other name. If you don’t understand, you don’t love.”

    IMG_0010

Today’s image is from the latest results of the Great Transatlantic Pinhole Filmswap Project. This is one of those serendipitous film swap photos that make me remember why I love doing these. I am not very fond of this self portrait of me, but I am sharing it here because today I need the reminder to love myself. The  odd thing about this photo is that I made a video at this exact time and shared it here on my blog, with a quote from Kendrick Lamar’s song, “I” (a song about loving oneself).

You can see the rest of the results from the swap here. And do let me know if you are interested in participating!

I put out a call for favorite poems on Facebook today and a friend of mine shared this one that I’ve never read before. I am very touched by it.  I hope you like it too.

  • A good day

    a good day

Here is a pinhole photo I took a couple of weeks ago, Actually the same day I took the Happy Hour photo from last week. There was something about the way the light was shining. The grassy field, the weather, the temperature, and the dandelions. It was a good day.
