made with Notegraphy I am learning how to love myself.
I wanted to write an elaborate blog post about this but I am very tired and I don’t have much energy today.
I mostly want to acknowledge this idea that has been floating around in my head. That I need to love myself. I am learning how to do this. It has been a long slow process, but I am learning.
This is not to say that I don’t have the best valentine in the world because I do. I am a very lucky girl.
I have spent my entire life giving a lot of love to others but I haven’t done a very good job of loving myself. This is slowly, ever so slowly, changing. This evolution is very subtly changing my life.
Maybe someday soon I will be able to love myself as much as I love others.

February has flown by faster than I can comprehend. I am not sure what happened! I haven’t had a chance to share information about the postcard swap for February. We are using Elfster again. With Elfster you have to sign up each time if you want to take part. So if you signed up for January you have to sign up again in February.
Sign up for the Elfster Postcard/Print Exchange here on Elfster! The deadline is Feb. 15th.
There were several people who were interested in sending and receiving more than one postcard. We created a Google document with a list of our addresses. If you are interested in being added to this document let me know and I will invite you to be an editor of it. I don’t want to make it public for obvious reasons.
I have really been enjoying this project very much! More than I even expected. It’s been fun.
A couple of things that may be helpful to others:
1) You can buy darkroom paper that has the postcard markings on the back! it is made by Illford. I have been using this for my black and white darkroom prints.
2) Snapfish does postcards. You can easily import Flickr photos into Snapfish and make them. They will even print your return address on them.
let me know if you have any questions!

I have a new post up on 52 rolls in which I write about how I survived PDX Snowpacalypse. It involved film and whiskey.

I don’t know. But I can tell you what the most surreal thing I’ve seen this weekend is.
We had an ice storm Saturday and it was crazy weird. In the evening we heard trees cracking and limbs hitting the ground. Some of them came perilously close to cars in our parking lot. The sound of the trees limbs cracking off of trees in the night was very surreal
When we woke up everything was encased in ice.

I took out my camera and snapped a few black and white film photos. When I was outside I heard ice and tree limbs crumbling to the ground. It was actually quite terrifying! I shot a video before I went back inside.
Today we are back to rain and all the snow has melted. It was fun and exciting while it lasted.
