Foolish gibberish

  • AboutI am also known as CraftyMoni elsewhere on the web. I am a Children’s Librarian. I am a photographer. I am a knitter. I am a reader. I am a wannabe poet. I blog. Sometimes I complain. I like to swear. I have a really twisted sense of humor. I think I might be a Zen Buddhist (Still trying to decide). Not a fan of organized religion. I am very liberal and can be vocal about it at times. I’m a daydreamer. Sometimes sassy. I try to be compassionate. I think I’m pretty nice most of the time. You can delve into deeper waters by reading these posts. You can see my photography on my Flickr page. If you like any photos you see there or on this site and would like to buy a print let me know. I would be happy to sell one to you! I blather about library stuff on  Twitter. You will also find me on Google+ and Facebook. Enjoy your visit!

  • Clinton Book Puts Familiar Foe Back in Conservatives’ Sights

    June 21, 2004

The New York Times > Washington > Clinton Book Puts Familiar Foe Back in Conservatives’ Sights

This just makes me mad. Again, this is sooo typical. I am so sick of conservative talk show hosts and thier hateful, lying ways. And I especially HATE how people get brainwashed by these numbskulls.

This quote in the article sums up my feelings:

“These (conservative) groups are stuck in a time warp. The fact is that people are tired of the political blame game. They want their elected officials to be talking about solutions to their problems. John Kerry’s campaign is focused on laying out an agenda for the American people, and no matter how many commercials these groups buy they won’t get in the way of that effort.”

Yes. Can we please quit bashing each other?!? Yes, we know that Clinton had an affair. Okay. Fine. But please, lets move on. And don’t give me this crap about how Bush has put respectablilty back into the White House. Pl-e-a-se. I don’t think so. Lying about having an affair and lying about reasons for going into a war are like night and day. And frankly, the former is MUCH more disrespectful and deceiptful to the American public.

I bought a cowboy hat while I was in Nashville. Here is a pic of me wearing it. I am also wearing a sweater that I just finished knitting. It took me three months to knit it but it is finally done.

    June 20, 2004

I just saw the cutest thing. I went for a run at UCSC and while I was sitting in the car, waiting for Raffa to get done, I saw a doe nursing it’s little baby…It was really cute. Another great picture lost because I didn’t have my camera. Drats!

  • New hiking spot

    June 20, 2004

Yesterday we went hiking at a new spot that we didn’t know existed until yesterday. It’s called Quail Hollow Ranch and it is in Felton. The nice thing is that it is really close to our house so we don’t have to drive forever to get there. We hiked Sunset Trail which takes you to the top of a ridge that overlooks the Zayante valley. It was a beautiful hike. The park itself used to be the home of the publisher of Sunset Magazine.

  • Something’s Gotta Give

    June 18, 2004

We started watching Something’s Gotta Give a couple of nights ago. We couldn’t watch more than about 15 min. of the movie. Totally boring and stupid. The characters were awful. There was nothing about them that connected me. And then there was the preachiness of it. My husband turned it off when one character, Diane Keaton’s sister in the movie, started going off on how horrible men are. He’d had just about enough. I was kind of dissappointed because it looked like it might be a cute, feel-good, funny kind of movie. I couldn’t get far enough into it to find out. I guess it all boils down to a bad script.
