I created a new blog dedicated to photography. I wanted a place where I could showcase my best work and talk exclusively about photography. I will still talk about photography here, but my posts here will continue to be opinionated, while my posts there will be less so. I hope you will subscribe and enjoy!
I mentioned (in passing) a few posts ago that I wanted to take pinhole photos of places I’ve visited in Atlas Obscura. Well. That idea has since gone a bit off the deep end. It occured to me that this might be a good idea for a community blog since the atlas catalogs locations around the world. So I asked a few of my friends if they wanted to participate and they thought it was a great idea. And with that, I present to you Pinholeobscura.com. A pinhole photography blog about interesting places featuring the pinhole photography of yours truly, and my friends Inge and Brendan. We have a few people who are interested in guest submissions as well. If you are interested in submitting something let me know. Please subscribe! It’s going to be a lot of fun. We also have a Facebook page and a Twitter.
Some blog housekeeping things on my mind, probably only interesting to me but I feel compelled to post about it anyway:
- I finally figured out how to remove the home page so now blatherskiteblog.com = my actual blog and not a landing page of slide shows and portfolio posts.
- I am working on the “portfolio” section of this website. This just means that I am attempting to curate. For the photography section I am pulling together selections of my favorite photos within particular subject areas. I’ve started with black and white photography. I will change it up and add to it now and then so, if you are interested in this kind of thing, check it out once in awhile for something new. I will also be adding more subject areas in the near future.
- I also have a “writing” section. I kind of hesitate to point this out but there it is. I have a bunch of things that I have written over the years that I decided to post on my blog. What the hell. Get it out into the world rather than hiding in my computer.
- Hm. I think that is it. Have a great Saturday!
