It was a very small-town timber festival kind of day.
We headed out to Estacada and watched log sawing and log rolling competitions. And then we came home and pinholed ourselves setting off fireworks 💥
Yesterday I asked Twitter and Facebook for a tagline. I was trying to come up with something for my photography website that would go with this logo thingy I made. Â I forgot to mention that little detail though. But I got the most awesome tag lines ever from my very creative friends. Â They all sounded like something from an action flick. So I made a movie trailer.
Enjoy.
Fun day yesterday! We were craving food from our favorite Food Carts in Portland so we made the drive to the big city. I enjoyed something different, a turkey, cranberry, & arugula crepe. It was delicious but not as good as my favorite, Smoked Salmon and arugula. Afterward we took a walk to the top of Mt. Tabor where we found the statue, pictured above. When we  walked back down we found a playground with fantastic old-school playground equipment. One of them was a merry-go-round. So the mister and I took a spin. It was fun.
Normally I would post something on January 1st about what my plans are for the new year but I am not going to do that today. Instead, here is a video I made in iMovie this morning.
The Mister and I decided yesterday to go to Pittock Mansion. I had heard that it was really cool to see during the holidays all bedecked with Christmas paraphernalia.
As we walked around, things took a turn for the creepy. Behold, a christmas wreath made of….
baby doll heads? Are those baby doll heads?!?

Indeed, they are! wow. doll heads.
Things got weirder and weirder. So weird that I failed to take photos of it all. Until I saw the mannequin getting drunk on the sleeping porch because, well, you just have to pull out the camera when you see a drunk mannequin.
Aside from the doll parts, it was pretty and fun. And it was even pretty fun. We ended the day with the best cup of hot cocoa I have ever had.
