Truthout posts a couple of news articles that talk about how some Senators and Representatives, namely Boxer and Lewis, are discussing whether or not Bush should be impeached for spying on Americans. All I can say is IT’S ABOUT TIME congress started getting tough with the Bush administration! It’s about time that they push back. The man is out of control. He is not even trying to cover it up. He is admitting these things to the American people like we are all stupid and we will just allow him to break the law.

I say Impeach him! Please!

Edwards asks, “who’s minding the store?”

Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards accused the Bush administration on Thursday of ignoring problems ranging from scarce flu vaccine to the war in Iraq while officials campaign in battleground states and asked, “Who’s minding the store?”

Well, that’s a good question…The article says that people such as Condi Rice (national security advisor) and the head of the Health and Human Services are campaigning for Bush right now. Why? Shouldn’t someone be doing something in Washington? I understand that our political system really is mostly to blame for this. I mean, it sucks that we put our candidates though absolute hell and force them to spend millions of dollars, and more importantly, hours and hours of time, to campaign for office. There is something inherently wrong with that system. Granted, I certainly don’t have a solution to it. But I really don’t think Condi Rice needs to be campaigning right now. There is lots of work to be done and somebody needs to be doing it.
