May postcard exchange!

I have been really enjoying the postcard exchange that I’ve been hosting for a few years. This latest received is beautiful! It is from the very-talented Diane Martin Peterson. I had the great pleasure of meeting her in person last weekend when she came to the WPPD meetup in Portland. She is a lovely person, as well as a talented photographer.

If you would like to sign up for the May postcard exchange you can do so here on this blog post! scroll down a bit for the form. Or you can Click here to be taken to it externally.

We are exchanging postcard-sized prints of our original photography. Digital and film photography is welcome!

April Postcard Exchange

The April postcard exchange is officially live!

We are exchanging postcard sized prints of our original photography that you either print traditionally in a darkroom, or that you print on an inkjet printer. If you would like to be notified of future swaps fill out the form here.

Postcards featured in this post were made by the fabulous Peter de Graaff. You can see more of his wonderful work here.

March Postcard Swap!

The March postcard swap is now live, folks! This has been a really fun way of sharing your photography IRL. I have been really enjoying getting prints from friends all over the world in my mailbox. It’s also a really good excuse for me to get into the darkroom!

The gorgeous contact print featured on this post was sent from my Twitter and IG buddy, Brandon.

We are exchanging postcards-sized prints of our original photography. Both digital and film photography welcome! If you would like to be notified of future swaps fill out the form here.

February Print Swap

I am wanting to breathe some new life into the print swap that I started a couple of years ago. Each month I will share a sign up form here on the blog for those who want to participate. If you sign up I will pair you with someone to send a postcard to on the 15th.

You can add yourself to the email list here if you would like to be notified of new swaps via email. I only send out one email a month so it isn’t spammy and annoying (I promise! 🙂 ).

We are exchanging prints of our original photography. See my print swap page for ideas on where you can get postcards of your photography printed.

February Print Exchange!

February has flown by faster than I can comprehend. I am not sure what happened! I haven’t had a chance to share information about the postcard swap for February. We are using Elfster again. With Elfster you have to sign up each time if you want to take part. So if you signed up for January you have to sign up again in February.

Sign up for the Elfster Postcard/Print Exchange here on Elfster! The deadline is Feb. 15th.

There were several people who were interested in sending and receiving more than one postcard. We created a Google document with a list of our addresses. If you are interested in being added to this document let me know and I will invite you to be an editor of it.  I don’t want to make it public for obvious reasons.

I have really been enjoying this project very much! More than I even expected. It’s been fun.

A couple of things that may be helpful to others:

1) You can buy darkroom paper that has the postcard markings on the back! it is made by Illford. I have been using this for my black and white darkroom prints.

2) Snapfish does postcards. You can easily import Flickr photos into Snapfish and make them. They will even print your return address on them.

let me know if you have any questions!
