This has been a crazy week

I am not even sure where to start. It’s been a roller coaster of events and emotions.

  • On Saturday I was driving ┬áback from a party literally in the middle of nowhere when the “check engine” light came on. I spent the rest of the 20 minute drive praying that I make it home (the temperatures outside were in the teens). By the time I got home it was acting really weird. So it has been in the shop all week – costing us a lot of money to fix.
  • I finally quit Facebook. I deactivated my account. It was a hard decision but I really feel like it is the right thing to do. Facebook is a huge time suck and I am finding myself busy with lots of projects lately that I want to focus my time and energy on. I am going to miss my friends there but I need an extended break.
  • I have been really, really sick this past week with the flu. like, kind of scary sick. ┬áLast night I got up in the middle of the night to throw up and moved too fast. I got to the bathroom door and saw stars and cried for help and the next thing I remember I am laying on the floor in the hallway and my husband’s face is hovering over me (just like in the movies). He is calling 911. I was confused and didn’t know how I got there. The paramedics came but it ended up only being low blood pressure. I’ve been sleeping all day and I think I am finally over the worst of it.
  • I won a contest! A film swap contest. I will talk more about that later.

Sick, Sick, Sick

I have been sick. Oh boy. very sick. I started out with a little bit of a cold that turned into a fever for a couple of days three weeks ago. I started feeling a bit better the following week, (the week I posted here last) but never really got back to 100 percent. Then it suddenly got really hot. Like, it went from 50 degrees to 95 degrees in a day. I marched in the Mountain Festival parade that Thursday evening and then the next day it all went downhill. I started running a fever by Saturday and missed the whole Mountain Festival. I was so bummed out. I’ve been looking forward to it since I moved here

I ended up running a fever for six days. I had to go to the doctor twice. It turns out that I had/have bronchitis. Both doctors said it was a virus. The second doctor gave me an antibiotic anyway and the day I started taking it I started feeling better. Thank god. I’m finally on the road to recovery.

My big brother blew through town on Sunday and fortified me with all sorts of supplements to boost my immune system.

So anyway, all of this to tell you that I’m still alive. I’ll get back on the blogging train soon. Just need to get my bearings first.
