I’m laying down some ground rules. First of all, if you read my blog please don’t read another word until you go to this site and read this disclaimer.
Okay, now that you have read that, I have a few rules of my own to lay down.
1.This is my online journal. It is not a doctoral dissertation. I will not back up my opinion with researched material, unless, of course, I feel like it. This blog is my outlet. It is a place where I write freely on things that I see around me.
2. If you post a comment on my site, be polite. Don’t come here and pass judgement on things that I write, on me, or my opinions. At least, don’t do it in the comments. It’s rude. It’s like me going to your home and telling you how to raise your kid. This website is my domain. Please respect that.
3. If you don’t like what I write, you can choose to not visit my site. What I write might offend you. If it offends you, and you feel the need to post a rude and inflammatory comment, then you might want to refrain from visiting this site.
4.Don’t offer me unsolicited advice. If I want advice I will ask for it.
5. I reserve the right to delete a comment if it is inappropriate.
6. I will deal trolls with appropriately.
I mentioned in the comment of another post, I am not here to constantly defend myself against nitpicking conservatives. This blog is my writing outlet. It is my online journal. I write to make sense of things going on around me. If you have a differing opinion, that’s fine. But please be polite and respectful when posting comments on my site.
Thanks.

Monica,
It is your site and therefore your rules, which should be respected. Since we have posted back and forth on Daffodil, I know I was not under the impression that you were not open to people witha different mindset as you are posting on your site. I always read your site everyday, but now that I know that you “allow comments to encourage people of the same mindset to commiserate” I guess I won’t be posting since we disagree. So much for ‘variety is the spice of life.’ Just so you know, most of us are not nitpicking conservatives, we enjoy seeing others views and debating issues of all sorts, as you have seen. Maybe we’ll see you on Daffodil….

I think she’s open to people “with a different mindset”. But for the last freaking time, this is BLOG, not a forum for argument. Furthermore, from what I’ve read the confrontational posts were nit-picky. As I stated earlier, Marta didn’t hear the entire commentary, yet she piped up about it. Most of the negative comments are intended to incite (rather than to give insight).

Wendi, I don’t mind polite discussion of issues. I know that we disagree, and that’s fine. But please, if you do decide to post comments, just do it in a way that is polite.

Monica,
I am writing this post for one reason only and that is to apologize for yesterday. I had no intention of angering/upsetting you. I am sorry for that. I had assumed based on my experience on other blogs that I could write/debate the owner’s views. After reading your comments, disclaimer and rules I now know better. I will keep everything I learned about the disclaimer rules in mind the next I post to any blog. I hope you will realize that I was not trying to offend you in any way. And I hope you have a better day at work today.
