LitBlogs: Update: My War, Over and Out

I decided to go visit some blogs that I haven’t been to in awhile and noticed that the blog, My War, had only one post, a quote from Johnny Rotten. And the name has been changed from My War, to Over and Out. I clicked on a few links and got to the one above, explaining what he feels the situation is. It’s very interesting reading. I’m bummed that My War got shut down. I hope C’s okay.

    The impression I get from his very latest post is that he got formally disciplined for the thing, exposing some sort of operational intelligence after he’d been warned to be more careful. That’d be plenty enough for me to shut the thing down, for sure.

    Which sucks ass, but the army has never been known for its creative thinking.

    Yeah, when I was telling my husband about it (he was in the marines) he wasn’t surprised a bit. I didn’t have to even finish the story. He practically finished my sentence by saying “oh, and they shut him down, huh.” You can’t be doing things like weblogs when you’re in the military, in a war.
