Neighborhing yard signs for George W. Bush and...

I’ve gotta agree with the folks at Daffodil Lane. Kerry is kicking a**! He is a smart, intelligent man. Bush kept repeating the same thing over and over…It was almost uncomfortable to watch.

The scary thing is that I think his tactic worked, well for some. I am watching c-span right now and there are these drones calling in saying exactly the same thing Bush said! Ugh!

My husband just turned the channel and someone is interviewing Karl Rove. God. And the spin begins.

I don’t know though. Those people that are spouting exactly what he said are the ones that can’t think for themselves. Anyone with half a brain could see that Kerry clearly had control of the situation. But I’m sure someone out there will tell us how wrong we are. I think Kerry made a very good case for electing him. And I think Bush only showed that he was weak and had no grasp on reality. So far what I’m seeing online (other than Fox News) shows that the majority of people think Kerry clearly won too.

Good! I was getting worried there…I don’t have cable. C-span was interviewing Rove and it was sick. The lies! He was basically repeating the same thing that Bush said over and over again.

    Moni,

In my view, I thought that Kerry won the debate, but I’m not so sure that he won votes.

Bush looked like a bobblehead doll for much of the debate as he repeated the same old tired rhetoric that has invoked fear into so many Americans, except when he was looking at his notes trying to remember what to say, I heard an awful lot of ” UHH’s ” coming out of his mouth when he decided to resort to his notes (which was not often). I thought that Kerry tried diligently to get Bush to at least admit that things in Iraq are not all peaches and cream right now but GW didn’t waiver in his position. Perhaps at least a certain percentage of the viewing audience recognized this as well and realized that they have been taken for a ride by this President.
If nothing else, this should turn a lot of Bush supporters to look toward other alternatives. There are at least two viable third party candidates that stand for conservative principles much more than the current President does. I’m looking forward to the next debates, Bush has spoken about his foreign policy for years now and he still lost this debate, what will happen in the third debate when the topic will be on domestic issues? Bush will not have enough time to prepare for something that he has given so little thought to. Anyway, those are some of my thoughts on this debate…

Bush was trying to recycle the standard campaign stump speech he’s been using for the last 6 months. He kept looking to the audience like he expected them to jump up cheering like his standard crowd of Republican supporters with their signed affidavits of support and the storm troopers standing by to take out anyone that dare disagree. Rove would have been better off staging a terrorist attack and getting Bush off the stage after the first 15 minutes, because he basically destroyed his creditability standing up there repeating himself like a fool.
