t r u t h o u t – ‘Fired Up’ Kerry Returning to Senate
Democrat John F. Kerry plans to use his Senate seat and long lists of supporters to remain a major voice in American politics despite losing the presidential race last Tuesday, and he is assessing the feasibility of trying again in 2008, friends and aides said yesterday.
I’ll vote for him again. At first I wasn’t very excited about Kerry, but I grew to really respect the man. His views are my views. I honestly think he would make an excellent president, and, looking around, I can’t see anyone better for the job. Everyone is throwing around Barack Obama’s name. I think he would be great, but not in 2008. Give him a few more years experience in the Senate, or make him a running mate to Kerry in ’08. I honestly hope Kerry goes for it. The fact that he is picking himself back up and going back to the Senate to fight harder makes me like him even more.
