We had the annual Christmas Eve, open presents at midnight, tamale making fiesta last night at the inlaws house. We got home at around 2:30 am and so I slept in today. We had a nice time! Raf’s parents gave me this beautiful bath set. I don’t know if I should use it because the presentation is so beautiful. I took some pictures because, in the end, I will cave and use it up so I wanted to remember the pretty presentation.
The inlaws gave us some money and so Raf and I decided to buy a Tivo with it. I just now ordered it from Amazon. I’m so stoked to finally get one! Raf gave me The Return of the King extended gift edition. It has this really neat sculpture of Minas Tirith. Raf told me that he would like to watch the whole thing from Lord of the Rings through Return of the King. I told him (without realizing what I was saying) “I have all next week off…” and then I realized that it would probably take the whole friggen week to get through all of those movies because they added another 50 mins to the Return of the King so that makes it a 4.5 hour movie!
I also recieved, from my stepdad Doug, enough alpaca yarn to make a scarf. I was so touched that he actually took the time to go to a yarn store to buy the yarn for me for Christmas. One can never have too much yarn :). My mom gave me a lovely project holder with pockets on the inside for needles and things like that.
Well, that is my present roundup! I think Raf and I are going to go see Lemony Snicket later today. Our little tradition has been to go see a movie on Christmas. Nobody in his family does anything on Christmas day – the celebration is on Christmas Eve, so we have all day on Christmas to to relaxing things.
