Yahoo! News – Poll: Evangelicals Oppose Gov’t on Schiavo
More than two-thirds of people who describe themselves as evangelicals and conservatives disapprove of the intervention by Congress and President Bush (news – web sites) in the case of the Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged woman at the center of a national debate.
Wow! this is interesting….

Yes, because if they felt the other way they would have to be careful what they wish for.

Yeah, it’s puts them in a strange place. They believe in the absolute authority of a husband over a wife. The notion that the federal government can override that is terrifying for them. If they are telling other people to have babies or not, that’s one thing. Telling them how they are going to run their own households is grounds for war. They probably don’t even notice their own hypocrisy.

you know i just want to say there is a difference between brain damage and acoma. everyone needs to ask themselves if they would want to continue to have there bodies kept alive when clearly terii is already gone. she shows signs of brain damage her curled hands her mouth hanging open her eyes starring off (hello she is not sleeping) her neck arched. Her “life” will not change. There is no such thing as reversable brain damage. She cannot just wake up because she is not in acoma. If her doctors thought any different they would not allow this or suggest it. Dying because of dehydration is not painfull. This women should be allowed to die in peace and with as much dignity as possible. As for her husband he knows what many don’t and what many cannot feel. He knows she is already gone except now he has finally accepted that and now can let her go. Unfortunatly her parents have not yet accepted that and are hanging on to hope and that is okay i feel most sorry for them because they still have hope for her and haven’t let go. I know I am a parent who had to make these choices…
