Rove: Dems Didn’t Get 9/11 Consequences – Yahoo! News

Speaking in a Manhattan ballroom just a few miles north of ground zero, Karl Rove said on Wednesday night that the Democratic party did not understand the consequences of the Sept. 11 attacks.

I am getting seething mad reading this news article. Seriously. We don’t get it? WTF? is he kidding? 9-11 was the most horrific, horrible day of my life, and I don’t even personally know anyone who died that day. I live on the other side of the Country, and it was the most horrific thing I have ever experienced. Where does he get off?

I just caught this on AmericaBlog, so I don’t know what other bloggers are saying about this at the moment. But I agree with John at AmericaBlog. Rove must resign. But he won’t, of course.

I clicked to see AmericaBlog’s homepage, and it looks like they are following this story closely. The last post says that the White House stands by Rove’s statement. Okay. Now I’m really getting pissed. What is Bush trying to do here? This is kind of freaking me out a little bit. Actually, a lot.

    This is the red meat kind of stuff the Neo-con base loves to hear. I’ve already been blasted with it from several of them here at work. They hate us and will attribute anything they can imagine to us. They think that we are just going to give in so they will stop picking on us, just like all bullies do. The Democrats say they need some money, I think that’s a good way to answer Rove’s accusations.

    Monica, this story made me see red too. I’ve been wanting to blog about this, but I can’t calm down enough to articulate what I want to say. The post is brewing though. These nutjobs are really getting out of hand. You’re right though, he won’t resign because as far as they are concerned they are doing nothing wrong.
