I read the first Lemony Snicket book last night when I got home from work. I was so proud of myself, actually getting through one of these in one sitting! I’m a slow reader and really need to pick up the pace a bit with this job. What did I think? Loved it. I couldn’t put it down, really. The premise is a little depressing, but the author kind of uses humor to make it fun. I like how the author defines difficult words in the text, in the context of the characters and the story. Will definately be reading the other Lemony Snicket books. The are very popular with the kids.

This really is a cute series. I’ve read the first 4 books. I keep meaning to read the rest of them. Check out the author Christopher Paolini. I think you’d like him too.
