For as long as I can remember, my mom has had old photos of my ancestors hanging on the wall of a hallway in her house. I love looking at these photos when I visit. Over the years I have heard the stories of the people in the photos. I decided to scan some of them when I visited last weekend.

This is a photo of my Granny Mary, taken sometime in the 1920s when she was in her twenties. I imagine it was her high school graduation picture. I am picturing that this is what she looked like when she met my grandfather. I am not surprised that he fell instantly in love with her. She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out.
