The white-booted cat watches from the other side of my sliding glass door.

Poetry

The white-booted cat watches
from the other side
of the sliding glass door
as I make my breakfast.
Her wild green eyes stare at me
mesmerized by my
mundane
morning activity.
She watches
As I exercise.
Her head bobbing
To my movements,
Eyes locked.
I am entertainment.
When I turn my head
To look at her
she intently licks her
little
white
paw
Feigning disinterest.
