Timberline Lodge – Mt Hood, Oregon.

Photography

A new post is up on Pinhole Obscura . It is about Timberline Lodge! One of my favorite places.

Pinhole Obscura

You may or may not know this, but the very first post on this blog was about Timberline Lodge. It’s kind of a short and sweet post, so I thought it deserved revisiting. It is very close to home and I visit often, but not often enough.

The second time I was here (I don’t remember the first time)  It was a beautiful, clear, summer day in late August. Sitting on the patio we could see Mt Jefferson. The woman sitting at the table next to us said to her son, “I can’t believe a place this beautiful exists.”

Here are some random factoids.

Olympia

In June I met up with several PNW pinhole photographers in Olympia WA. We descended on the state capital with our lensless cameras and lots of fun was had by all. I felt like giving my Zero 45 some love, so I brought a few sheets of Ilford Delta 100. This was the first time using this film. I like it much better than Arista.edu 100. I kind of wish I didn’t because, damn. That Arista has got a nice price.

For this shot I laid them camera on the ground, hole up, and opened the shutter for 20 minutes. The ceiling of this building is beautiful.

perspective

Today’s image comes from the same fun day of shooting as the previous 2 photoblog posts. I really love the way this camera distorts perspective.

Let’s see what word.camera has to say about it:

In the meantime, a river, a plant, and a travel. Yet, the river is created by a moving fluides. The plant has alive and grow and some flower, and the travel climaxes in a remember. There, the river retains a flow water. Furthermore, it is a source of water. Until now, it pertains to a large natural stream of water. Of course, it relates to flow water.

Also, a stream and a woodland: the stream longs for being river, and the woodland retains a tree. In contrast, the woodland is also known as a forest. Sometimes, it recalls forest. And yet, it recalls vegetation. In fact, it encompasses an architectural structure. Immediately, the stream encompasses a flow freely and abundantly. Sometimes, it amounts to a narrow body of flow water. In other words, it amounts to a natural body of running water flowing on or under the earth. i.e., it constitutes a connected series of events or actions or developments.

In like manner, a wood, which results from the hard fibrous lignifying substance under the bark of trees. Finally, it amounts to the hard fibrous lignifying substance under the bark of trees. Accordingly, it is a golf club. Sometimes, it is the hard fibrous lignifying substance under the bark of trees. Always, it has pleasant. Besides, it is known to some as holz.

In summary, a summer, a park, and an environment. In similar fashion, the summer is made from the warmest season of the year. The park arises from a gear position that acts as a parking brake, and the environment comes from the area in which something existing or lives. Notwithstanding, the summer leads to person going on vacation. Earlier, it educes fun. Certainly, it relates to in august. For that reason, it relates to after winter.

Specifically, a stone and a water: the stone arises from a lack of feeling or expression or movement, and the water longs for going down hill. Further, the water exhibits transparent liquid. So far, it can thin gasoline. In conclusion, it might thin soup. Thus, it is beautiful and necessary for our survival. However, the stone is rough. As a result, it recalls acrolith. Always, it may smoke pot. Perhaps, it is a musical composition song.

To sum up, a landscape, which translates to благоустро́йство и озелене́ние. Therefore, it relates to decorating yard. But it is a class of art having a characteristic form or technique. Nevertheless, it evokes small hill. Doubtedly, it educes natural view. It is true, it echoes your.

As an illustration, a mountain, a rock, and a nobody. At length, the mountain evokes everest. The rock has a crystal, and the nobody might reason with someone like tomas. Until now, the mountain is an earthen plate push together. Thus, it includes a snow. Undoubtedly, it comprises a high peak of land. Furthermore, it echoes everest.

To explain, a tree and a nature: the tree translates to ajaa puuhun, and the nature amounts to an everywhere. By all means the nature is made from a -ure. Frequently, it recalls mother element. Subsequently, it constitutes a television show. To be sure, it associates with outdoor. In summary, the tree includes a sap. In fact, it might make house and can make firewood. However, it is required for build treehouse. Undoubtedly, it has sometimes yellow or red.

Similarly, an outdoors, which results in going for walk. Furthermore, it precipitates jogging. Moreover, it is known to some as dwór. Maybe it echoes environment. Consequently, it is known to some as aire libre. Therefore, it constitutes the region that being outside of something.

So far, a moss and a forest: the moss translates to sammalduma, and the forest is among the trees and other plants in a large densely wooded area. This time, the forest enjoys a million of tree. Doubtedly, it echoes animal. Immediately, it educes wooden area. And yet, it elicits bushy. Yes, the moss might grow on concrete under certain condition. Sometimes, it is a live thing. In contrast, it educes fuzzy. Although it relates to model name.

Pinhole Mayhem! June outing at the River View Cemetery

Photography

pinhole012.jpg

For our Pinhole Mayhem outing in June we visited a cemetery in Portland – I think it was the River View Cemetery. We missed meeting up in April (due to WPPD) and May (due to crazy schedules). It was super fun to be hanging out with my pinhole gals again.

Yes, we brought a Ouija board to a cemetery. We went there. We even played with it and, yes, it was as creepy and a little scary as you can imagine (NONE OF US MOVED THE PLANCHETTE, It moved BY ITSELF).

Here are some more shots from the day:

These were all made with my Terrapin Bijou camera and Velvia. I am very sad that the roll ended up being a “fat roll” and having light leaks – though they did kind of add to the atmosphere.

Map

This was a really fun outing with my pinhole camera. We visited a part of the Salmon River Trail we’d never seen before – which is pretty amazing considering I thought hiked every inch of that trail.

When I saw this image I immediately thought of a map. And now I have this song running through my head.

I keep meaning to run my photoblog photo through word.camera – I finally remembered to do that this time! You can read the odd translation at the end. Word.camera thought of a map as well!
