CNN.com – Bush takes on critics of Iraq war – Nov 11, 2005

I am so sick of Bush’s lies! this quote, the first paragraph of the story had me just incensed:

“While it’s perfectly legitimate to criticize my decision or the conduct of the war, it is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began,” the president said during a Veterans Day speech in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.

“Some Democrats and anti-war critics are now claiming we manipulated the intelligence and misled the American people about why we went to war,” Bush said.

Rewriting history? Are you kidding me? They are shining a flashlight on the cob-webbed, dank, dark closet that Bush and his minions have locked the truth up in. We are finally seeing the truth! and here he is, as usual, feeding us all a line of bullshit.

And some people will believe him. I don’t know what it is about this man that makes people just blindly think that he is telling the truth, but people will inevitably believe that Democrats and anti-war Americans are “rewriting history.”

This is Rove’s typical modus operandi. Accuse your accuser of doing the very thing you are being accused of.

Harry Reid’s response was right on the mark:

“Attacking those patriotic Americans who have raised serious questions about the case the Bush administration made to take our country to war does not provide us a plan for success that will bring our troops home,” Reid said.

“The American people are demanding a comprehensive plan and the benchmarks by which to measure our success for the war in Iraq,” Reid said. “The president’s continued refusal to provide that plan does nothing to support our troops or their families.”

He’s right. We have every right to find out the truth! we have every right to question! Attacking us just further divides this country. What ever happened to “I’m a uniter not a divider?” I guess he was lying about that, too.

  • lullabies to paralyze

    November 6, 2005

Lullabies to ParalyzeI downloaded Queens of the Stone Age’s Lullabies to Paralyze today and am thoroughly enjoying it. My favorite song on the album is “Burn the witch.”

Speaking if iTunes, it looks like you can now download music videos. I’ve already downloaded one of my favorties: Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice. Not a super-big fan of the song. I just like the combination of Spike Jonze’s direction and Christopher Walken’s dancing.

  • sick again

    November 6, 2005

I’m sick again! Damn it! I thought maybe I had some sort of sinus infection so I went to the doctor on Friday. I don’t. It’s some sort of virus. So I’ve got to just let it run it’s course. I guess I just caught another cold. This is starting to piss me off. I hate feeling this way. I was getting into a nice routine of running in the morning and I was being so good about it! and the whole thing has been derailed because I don’t have the energy to excercise.

I have to say that the Airborne has been very helpful. It made the other cold go away pretty fast. I was starting to feel much better before I got this new one.

  • Holy Crap! Is this for real?

    November 3, 2005

Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!I was surfing Amazon for some children’s picture books to add to my collection and I happened upon this title. Whaaaa? I am rendered speechless. It’s bad enough that we have the brainwashed, kool-aid drinking adults, now they are trying to brainwash our kids?

For the record, I would never, ever read an anti- conservative book to a child, either. I think the better approach would be to show them a reference book that explained both parties and what they believe in. I really don’t think children need to be exposed to any Anti-anything books. This title does nothing but plant a seed of discrimination inside these young children’s minds. I think it’s despicable and the author should be ashamed of herself.

Oh, and before anyone even says this, I do have a sense of humor. I can even laugh at liberals sometimes. Parody is hilarious! Equating liberals with monsters is NOT funny, however. Packaging your marginalizing neo-conservative ideology into a Children’s book is extremely unethical.

  • Advice for the President

    November 2, 2005

    CNN.com – Your e-mails: Advice for the president – Nov 2, 2005

I was reading this CNN article, curious as to what kind of advice people would give, and I ran across this little gem:

None. I think he is doing a wonderful job and smiling the entire way. Who protected our country after September 11? Who protects our country today? I think the Democrats should look at their own party that is where the problems lie. There is nothing they can do to discourage our party. Nothing. We are all smiling.
    Berenice Milligan, Louisville, Kentucky

Isn’t this just the picture of a kool-aid drinking neocon? How on earth could anyone at this point think that Bush is doing a great job? I’m sorry, but you have to be just utterly brainwashed to believe this nonsense at this point. This belief just totally and completely boggles my mind.

I’m hearing people finally waking up to the reality of the situation, and it’s very good. The other day, a caller called in to, I think, the Ed Schulz show and laid out the whole situation with Bush. He said something like, “So Bush manufactured evidence for going into war with Iraq, and lied to the American people about it. Why are we talking about who is going to be the next Supreme Court nominee? Why aren’t we drawing up articles of impeachment right now?” I have been thinking this very thing for 3 years now! It’s very refreshing that people are finally waking up! Let’s hope more of them do.
