Foolish gibberish

  • AboutI am also known as CraftyMoni elsewhere on the web. I am a Childrenโ€™s Librarian. I am a photographer. I am a knitter. I am a reader. I am a wannabe poet. I blog. Sometimes I complain. I like to swear. I have a really twisted sense of humor. I think I might be a Zen Buddhist (Still trying to decide). Not a fan of organized religion. I am very liberal and can be vocal about it at times. Iโ€™m a daydreamer. Sometimes sassy. I try to be compassionate. I think Iโ€™m pretty nice most of the time. You can delve into deeper waters by reading these posts. You can see my photography on my Flickr page. If you like any photos you see there or on this site and would like to buy a print let me know. I would be happy to sell one to you! I blather about library stuff on ย Twitter. You will also find me on Google+ and Facebook. Enjoy your visit! ย

The facts as I see them now defy all logical explanations save one–massive and systematic vote fraud. We cannot accept the result of the 2004 presidential election as legitimate until these discrepancies are rigorously and completely explained. From the Valerie Plame case to the horrors of Abu Ghraib, George Bush has been reluctant to seek answers and assign accountability when it does not suit his purposes. But this is one time when no American should accept not getting a straight answer. Until then, George Bush is still, and will remain, the %u2018Accidental President’ of 2000. One of his many enduring and shameful legacies will be that of seizing power through two illegitimate elections conducted on his brother’s watch, and engineering a fundamental corruption at the very heart of the greatest democracy the world has known. We must not permit this to happen again.

this is an interesting article by a pollster who feels that this past election is rife with fraud.

  • San Francisco Stairway Walk

    November 13, 2004

Raffa and I went on a “stairway walk” in San Francisco yesterday. Click here to view the pics :). I highly recommend doing this if you ever visit San Francisco. The book is called “Stairway Walks of San Francisco” and it is written by Adah Bakalinsky. Here’s a pic from the walk, just for fun:

‘Evangelical Christianity Has Been Hijacked’: An Interview with Tony Campolo–politics faith Democracts gay rights women Falwell — Beliefnet.com

Well, there’s a difference between evangelical and being a part of the Religious Right. A significant proportion of the evangelical community is part of the Religious Right. My purpose in writing the book was to communicate loud and clear that I felt that evangelical Christianity had been hijacked.

To follow up on yesterday’s post, thankfully there are leaders in the Evangelical community who are still Christians. This is an excellent article. It actually articulates the comments that Dianne so eloquantly expressed on the last post ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Bob Jones Sees Bush Win As โ€˜Reprieveโ€™

Yahoo! News – Bob Jones Sees Bush Win As ‘Reprieve’

“In your re-election, God has graciously granted America – though she doesn’t deserve it – a reprieve from the agenda of paganism,” Jones wrote Bush in a congratulatory letter posted on the university’s Web site.

“You have been given a mandate. … Put your agenda on the front burner and let it boil. You owe the liberals nothing. They despise you because they despise your Christ,” Bob Jones

He must worship a different Jesus than I worship….This kind of statement is a good example of the utter and complete hypocracy of the religious right. Their religion says that the greatest comandment is “to love one another” and to “love your enemies”. This is not love. This is hate. This man is no Christian.

I don’t despise Jesus. Liberals in general don’t despise Jesus, fyi. But I am really begining to despise these people.

    TomPaine.com – Archives – The First Lie

The invasion was not just reckless. It was unconstitutional.

It is time to set the record straight. The United States Congress never voted for the Iraq war. Rather, Congress voted for a resolution in October 2002 which unlawfully transferred to the president the decision-making power of whether to launch a first-strike invasion of Iraq. The United States Constitution vests the awesome power of deciding whether to send the nation into war solely in the United States Congress.

My brother’s recent comments spurred me to find the article linke above about the unconstitutionality of the Iraq war. It’s an interesting read.
