  • The debate

    October 14, 2004

Well, I guess I should write a little something about the debate. Kerry won, Bush lost. End of story.

To be honest, I was kind of tired of watching Bush by the time the third debate rolled around. I’m sick of the guy. Can we just get him out of there already? I’m so sick of his arrogance, his Texan swagger, his lack of intellegence. I’m sick of it all. I hate the sound of his voice, I hate the goofy expressions on his face. I hate his stupid little cowboy platitudes that he throws around. Not to mention the way he’s screwed up my country. But that’s another blog entry.

I thought I was going to pull my hair out when he was asked about minimum wage and his answer had to do with education. What the hell?!? What was he talking about? what does education have to do with minimum wage? We have a single mom who is trying to make a living to feed her children making minimum wage, and he expects her to go back to school?!? And that was his answer regarding the outsourcing quesition, too. Basically, if you’ve lost your job via outsourcing your s.o.l. Go back to school.

I can’t take much more of Bush. I’m serious. I’m glad these debates are over. I hope we kick him out in November and he fades away into obscurity forever.

Documentary on Kerry Should Be Broadcast – – The Intelligencer/Wheeling News-Register

“Fahrenheit 9/11,” Michael Moore’s sleazy propaganda film targeting President Bush, was just fine with millions of liberals. Those who complained about the film’s many inaccuracies were accused of wanting to censor the movie, of somehow opposing Americans’ right to freedom of speech.”

MM wasn’t using public airwaves to show F911 you stupid moron! You could choose not to pay the 10 dollars and not see the film if you think it’s sleazy. Forcing television stations to pre-empt regular broadcasting to air this anti-Kerry, lying screed is the very definition of sleazy and it shouldn’t be aired. And if it is, then Sinclair should also air F911 for political balance!!!!!! ❗

  • Kerry Documentary

    October 12, 2004

    The Associated Press

The Democratic National Committee planned to file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday contending that Sinclair’s airing of the film should be considered an illegal in-kind contribution to President Bush’s campaign. Also, 18 Democratic senators sent a letter to the Federal Communication Commission asking that it investigate whether Sinclair’s plan was an improper use of public airwaves.

Good for the DNC! I swear to God. I am sooooooo f-ing sick of republicans right now. Actually, I should say I am sick of, as Janine Garofalo calls them, the “taliban” faction of the republican party. I know there are repubs out there that aren’t evil. I just wish they would speak out a little bit louder. I can’t wait for Kerry to just win this election already so we can put the neo-cons in thier place.

I can’t stress enough the importance of boycotting this. Somebody named Outraged posted a comment on this site this morning calling for a boycot and there is a link. Go there and write to your local paper. Let’s tell these damn neo-cons who’s boss!

  • Friday’s Debate

    October 10, 2004

    t r u t h o u t – William Rivers Pitt | The Scary Little Man

The link above will take you to a really good opinion piece that kind of sums up my feelings on the debate. Overall, I think Kerry was cleary the winner. Clear as day. I wish he would have slammed Bush on the Environment, though. He really could have let him have it there. But overall, very very goood.

Bush on the other hand was bizarre. His answers were totally incoherent. He kept yelling and was extemelly defensive. But I kind of realized something as I watched this. You know what he is? He is nothing more than a spoiled little rich frat boy who has never had to work a day in his life. That’s it. He half-asses stuff. He has only gotten to where he is because of his family connections. This is stuff that I’ve heard before, but for some reason watching him act in such a petulant manner on Friday night really drove it home for me. He is a spoiled, selfish, arrogant frat-boy who is in the back pocket of Corporate America. Let’s get this guy out of office! To quote John Kerry, “we can do better.”

  • Bush on the environment!

    October 8, 2004

Daffodil Lane: Bush on the environment!

I’ve got to say, I had to pick my jaw off the floor after listening to this. Bush is a good steward of the land like Kenneth Lay is a good steward of money. Ugh!

Seriously, though, Kerry, again, kicked Bush’s ass. Admittedly, Bush seemed much more relaxed during this debate. He definately favored this forum. But Kerry really did a better job.

Bush really scares the hell out of me. His answer to the “abortion” question was frightening. He obviously doesn’t plan to support a woman’s right to choose, and that is wrong. I think Kerry’s answer to that question was fantastic. More on this topic tommorrow.

I am watching the local news right now and they are interviewing people in Oakland on responses to the debate. One guy just said, “I was going to vote for Bush but now I’m considering voting for Kerry.” WooHoo! That makes my day πŸ˜›
