White House expresses confidence in top Bush aide – Yahoo! News

The White House broke its silence and said on Tuesday that President Bush continued to have confidence in his top political adviser, Karl Rove, despite his involvement in a scandal over the leak of the identity of a CIA agent.

So Rove is going to walk, if Bush has his way. Bush is a friggen criminal, too. I’m so tired of this corrupt administration. I’m tired of this “stick together no matter what” mentality of the Republican party. We have a person who committed a felony, risking the security of a CIA agent, and possibly thwarting an important mission, at the side of the President, and the Repugs are sticking by him, for the sake of partisan politics. Just because he is a republican, they are going to allow him to get away with this. Aren’t they getting sick, yet, of associating with this corruption?

  1. Rove has done worse than commit a felony! He committed treason by risking national security during a time where the country was at war. The ‘just’ punishment for treason is the death penalty! Now, I’m no advocate of the DP, but this guy did far more than just break a law. It’s so friggin’ unbelievable to me. I am speechless.

  3. Hi Stephanie! I couldn’t agree more..People have been killed in this country for treason.

In fact, I was almost going to write what you just wrote but decided not to. It looks like I’m not the only one who has thought this.

  4. I think it’s time for all of us to see how loud our voices can be. A time for action is now. I know it seems so cliche to write your congressman or to write somebody, but that’s what we need to do!

  5. I just blogged about this Monica. It’s unbelievable, you should read the Republican talking points on the subject. They are going to do claim it was a REAL crime and just ignore us until the Supreme Court battle. Then we’ll forget about Rove, because they are going to rob us of our basic human rights via the Supreme Court.

I’m not sure how much telling a Democrat to stop the Republicans really is. I hate it, but the best choice is Democracy Bonds, nothing says to the Republicans bite me like giving the Democrats money.

  7. I’ve been hearing Bush say that he doesn’t want this tried in the media and that there’s a full investigtion going on…um…is Rove still working? Should he be relieved of his duties until this ‘investigation’ is complete. I dont’ think the he should be privy to any matters of national security, seeing how he can’t seem to keep his mouth shut!
