Blatherskite

We have been inspired by the movie Rent (which we just watched the other night for the first time) to write a musical based on our house buying nightmare. We already have a name for it. It’s called “A Good Clean House.” and we also have the beginings of some songs. We’ve been cracking ourselves up over this the past few days. I guess we just need to laugh a little bit in order to get through this fiasco.

One of the songs will be called “It’s a weekend project.” One of the things that we have noticed is that our realtor’s standard line when we ask him about home maintanence issues has been “you just seal it. It’s a weekend project.” So that’s been a running, inside joke between us.
