Okay. so I am weeding the non-fiction VHS tapes right now. As I am doing this I’m considering how many times a video has been watched. I can look at the record and see how many times it has checked out, but I am guessing that when it gets to somebody’s home it is watched over and over and over again. Because that is just what kids like to do. Watch videos over and over and over again. I know this from experience (as a nanny).

So as I am thinking about this I realize that this was not my experience as a child. I didn’t watch videos over and over again. Why? Because VCRs were not around when I was a child. That is kind of blowing my mind right now. In an “I’m getting old” sort of way.

Yeah, we are all getting pretty old. I mean a kid born next year will never live in a world where they didn’t have Blu-ray HD DVD’s available to watch. They will not even know what it was like to not have HD version of the movies.

It’s funny but when I told my husband this little realization of mine he said the exact same thing that you stated here, Jamison 🙂
