A major bridge collapses in a major metropolitan city and our President plays the “blame game” during his speech? Did you listen to that tripe?
As soon as I can find it online I will link to the speech. It’s utterly disgusting, the way he politicized the situation.
grrrr…..
Update: I’m kind of annoyed. I got an annoying comment to this post and wondered what the deal was. So I went back to the article at CNN and saw that it links back to this blog post. That annoys me. It would be nice if they told me they were doing that. The last thing I want is every freaking troll commenting on a two sentence blog post that they clearly don’t read. So I got rid of the link. Go to CNN for for info on this story.
Note from the future (9/15/2011): This post is about the collapse of the 1-35W Mississippi River Bridge on August 1st, 2007.
OOooOOoOOoooOO…didn’t hear it. But would you expect anything less?

Isn’t it great to have a President in office who we can blame for every little ass ache this country suffers. Get your head out of the sand my little sheeples. This country has been heading downhill since the 70’s. Through Democractic and Republican administrations.

Speak for yourself. My head is quite out of the sand, thankyouverymuch.
And I don’t think being pissed off about the president’s callousness and writing about it on my blog is the equivilant to having my head in the sand. How am I blaming him for anything? I am merely commenting on his speech!

I was LIVID when I heard what he said. Totally speechless. He barely spared a word for the grieving friends and families of the victims before attempting to twist the tragedy to some partisan argument about the need to pass sumplemmental Iraqi spending–’cause that will fix all of our infrastructure problems? Moni, perhaps you are too polite to blame him for anything but I’m not. I’m blaming him for being callous and partisan in the face of disaster–when he should have been the voice of consolation for those families, he was instead playing politics with the situation. LIV-ID.
