mittsWelcome to day two of NaBloPoMo 2009!

My new job has been fabulous. However, my office is really chilly. I am planning on bringing in a little space heater but I decided that I also needed some fingerless mitts to keep my hands warm while I typed. I found some alpaca in my stash and cast on the Berry Hill Fingerless Mittens pattern. They turned out really cute and will be very useful this fall and winter. In fact, I took them on a little hike with me to Mirror Lake and they made great Photographer’s mitts (more about the hike tomorrow). I used some alpaca yarn that I bought from a little yarn shop in Ocean Park, WA. It is from a local alpaca farm and is from a critter named Freedom. It’s gorgeous, soft yarn. In fact, I used some of it to for a hat for my step dad while he was going through chemo.

If you would like to see the Ravelry info you can find it here.

Happy Monday!
