We have arrived at Christmas 1974. Here I am opening a present and giving (what I think is) a thumbs up. I wonder what I got? I calmed down a bit on Christmas day as I got older.

My scanner is completely confused and doesn’t know what to do with the carpet. Also, the couch. What is that? What in god’s name were we thinking when we chose that color palette?

Here is my mom preparing a turkey. I love her hair!

My parents in this picture are at least ten years younger than I am now. Probably closer to 15. Why does that make me feel weird? Like the weight of time is crushing down on me…

I look at these photos and realize that I am living in a whole different universe then this. The colors and style and the house we lived in and everything about it is so far away.
