It’s been a week since I posted. I’ve been really wondering if I still have the blogging mojo in me. I’ve been running this blog for 7 years. Can you believe that?!? Seven years!
I’m finding it kind of redundant to post knitting projects both here and on Ravelry. So I think I’ll keep all of the knitting content on Ravelry and not post it here. I’ve been having a difficult time finding anything interesting to say about knitting lately. I still love to do it but that’s just it. I like knitting and not, necessarily, writing about it.
Photography has taken a back seat lately too. I don’t know why. It’s brought a lot of joy to me in the past. But there are times when I am so completely unmotivated to take my camera with me and take pictures. I wish I knew what that was all about.
Writing hasn’t been really interesting to me lately, too. That also bothers me. Or at least I think it should bother me but I kind of feel apathetic about it. I’ve always found a lot of solace in writing everyday but not lately. Not that I don’t find solace in it, but more that I don’t find time to do it everyday.
I do have some new interests, though. I am learning how to play the Ukulele and I’m really excited about it! I’m going to be participating in a Ukulele orchestra this fall. Starting next week actually. yay!
I’ve been really excited about studying zen lately too. I’ve really been finding peace through meditation and being, generally, more mindful. Maybe this is why other things have taken a back seat?
I’ve discovered a new hobby. Beading! I will tell you the story on how I got into that in another post. But I have to say, I’m really having fun with it. I’ve already made more necklaces than I think I know what to do with. And i think I spent more money on beads than yarn on my last trip to the coast, which is saying a lot!
I’ll catch up again soon. Maybe this blog will take a different turn? We’ll see.
