Foolish gibberish

  • AboutI am also known as CraftyMoni elsewhere on the web. I am a Children’s Librarian. I am a photographer. I am a knitter. I am a reader. I am a wannabe poet. I blog. Sometimes I complain. I like to swear. I have a really twisted sense of humor. I think I might be a Zen Buddhist (Still trying to decide). Not a fan of organized religion. I am very liberal and can be vocal about it at times. I’m a daydreamer. Sometimes sassy. I try to be compassionate. I think I’m pretty nice most of the time. You can delve into deeper waters by reading these posts. You can see my photography on my Flickr page. If you like any photos you see there or on this site and would like to buy a print let me know. I would be happy to sell one to you! I blather about library stuff on  Twitter. You will also find me on Google+ and Facebook. Enjoy your visit!

    Pinholeday Film Swap with Jeff

    September 13, 2016

I mentioned a few posts ago that one of the traditions that we have for our meetups on Pinholeday is to swap a roll of film with one of our friends for a film swap. This year I chose Jeff’s roll. I made my exposures, unwittingly, at the Chinese Garden when I was on a pinhole adventure with my friend Donna. I love how they came out though!

Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?

I have 4 versions of this song on my iTunes but i think this is my favorite.

The Fleetwood Mac version just popped up on my iTunes though. I feel like it resonates with how I’ve been felling lately about the passing of time and aging and that terrifying feeling of it all.

Dispatches from a shy street photographer: waiting

    September 9, 2016

Today’s image in this series comes from Amsterdam. I had a lot of fun randomly pointing my camera at things in that city. 🙂 This was the first outing with my XA. In fact, my friend, Inge had just given to me when we met a few days before.

    Geeky Bits:

    Camera: Olympus XA
    Film: Kodak Tri-x

    Developed in Diafine.

Dispatches from a shy street photographer: Man without a face

    September 2, 2016

I spent a few short hours in Dublin and didn’t take many photos, and the ones that I did take didn’t come out very well, technically (the roll had some development issues). However, it’s such an interesting place and there is so much going on. I am looking forward to returning and spending more time shooting the streets.

    Geeky Bits:

    Camera: Olympus XA
    Film: Kodak Tri-x
Stand developed for 1 hour in Adonal.
