Truthout posts a couple of news articles that talk about how some Senators and Representatives, namely Boxer and Lewis, are discussing whether or not Bush should be impeached for spying on Americans. All I can say is IT’S ABOUT TIME congress started getting tough with the Bush administration! It’s about time that they push back. The man is out of control. He is not even trying to cover it up. He is admitting these things to the American people like we are all stupid and we will just allow him to break the law.
I say Impeach him! Please!
Okay, I admit it. I am a fan of Madonna. I downloaded her recent album, Confessions on a Dance floor, the other day and I LOVE IT. I downloaded the deluxe version with the video of “Hung Up” included. I love the video. Dude. and she is almost 50 now? amazing.
I was just seaming a sweater and listening to the album and tears came to my eyes, for some reason. There is something tragic about the songs on the album. I don’t know what it is about it. It’s good, but slightly tragic and sad. Maybe it’s because of where I’m at right now, living in Spokane, in this freezing weather, stuck inside, missing Sunny California, and feeling kind of sad. But the album, while I love it, kind of has, and will probably always have for me, a kind of sad vibe to it.

I bought a car today! I am now a card-carrying member of the asshole, South Hill, SUVclass. Ugh! can you believe I did it? I feel a little guilty. I bought a Jeep Liberty. For some reason, I don’t really consider Jeeps SUVs. But maybe that’s just me trying to justify it. Oh well.
It’s 4×4 so it gets around really good in this snow and ice, which is what I wanted and needed. And we will be able to drive it up in the mountains this summer, as well.
Now I can exhale. I have a car again! yay!
Yesterday I was rushing through the bus station to catch my connection and I saw a group of preschool kids in a row that I thought might be a group that comes to my story time at the library. As I was rushing past them I heard, “Hey, I think that’s the library lady..Is that the library lady? Yeah, it is! That’s the library lady, guys!” I couldn’t help but smile as I was running out the door of the building to catch my bus.
