I’m feeling enamored, lately, with my Holga. I’m thinking about taking it with me on our trip to England later this year to use specifically for portraits of my pinhole buddies from around the world. I’m am generally too shy for portrait photography but I’m feeling a big need to break out of my comfort zone. I took the Holga with me on a little pinhole meetup on Sunday as a test run and, of course, everyone was very willing and happy to be subjects. I am planning on developing the film from that this weekend and am looking forward to the results.
Today I have Holga photos for you of a place in my small town, Sandy, Oregon, of the historical little white church. This building has played a prominate role in my life this week so I felt like these photos were appropriate. Unfortunately I can’t really publically post any details about why it’s been important at the moment, but hopefully in the near future.
I love this building. It was purchased by an Irish woman who has turned it into a wonderful little yoga studio called “Celtic Spirit Yoga.” The inside of the building is warm and wonderful and has such a sweet, beautiful energy.

Wait. Have you never shot with a Holga before?!? I find this shocking, and I must be mistaken.

Oh no! I have. 🙂 It was actually the camera that renewed my interest in film photography in 2011. I just feel like I never use it enough. I love shooting with it!
