The worst Christmas song ever written

Random

Just awful.

A couple of years ago the Mr. and I were having a discussion about Christmas songs and we observed that there are some truly awful ones. For example, Jingle Bells. It’s all fine and dandy for the first few stanzas but eventually it takes a turn for the  awful:

A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot.

A day or two ago,
  The story I must tell
I went out on the snow,
  And on my back I fell;
  A gent was riding by
  In a one-horse open sleigh,
He laughed as there I sprawling lie,
  But quickly drove away.

See? Awful!!

Anyway, we wondered what the worst Christmas song ever written was. We searched the intertubes and turned up a lovely little ditty about a bratty little girl wanting a hippopotamus for Christmas. Everything about it is terrible.
